Quick Eurish Pronunciation Guide

Eurish uses the letters of the Latin alphabet.
The vowels are:
a pronounced as in art,
e pronounced as in bed,
i pronounced as in in,
o pronounced as in on,
u pronounced as in push.

The English tendency to diphthongize the vowels should be avoided.
There are two diphthongs in Eurish: au pronounced as the ow in cow, and ei pronounced as the ay in pray, and eu, oi pronounced as the oy in boy.

The consonants b, d, f, l, m, n, p, v, z are pronounced as in English. The others are:
c pronounced as the k in king,
g pronounced as in girl,
h pronounced as in have,
j pronounced as the s in pleasure,
r should be spoken as on the European continent,
s pronounced as in sing,
t pronounced as in top,
x pronounced as in shoe,
y pronounced as in yet.
The letter q appears only in the combination qu, and that combination is pronounced as in queen.

The stress in a word falls on the last but one syllable.
