Overseas Honeymoon in Vietnam

If you're looking for the perfect destination for your honeymoon then look no further than Vietnam. Vietnam is a beautiful country that has numerous locations which are perfect for the most relaxing and romantic holiday you will ever take. A Vietnam honeymoon can involve as much or as little activity as you like. Here are three very different ideas for activities that you can take part in while on your honeymoon.

Are you an adventurous couple? Do you live for adrenaline-fuelled experiences? If this is the case (and you're of the school of thought that says just because it's your honeymoon, doesn't mean you should skimp on thrills) then Vietnam is definitely the destination for you. One activity that is sure to spark interest among adventurous travellers is a visit to Phong Nha Cave in the village of Son Trach, 55 km northwest of Dong Hoi.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is widely acknowledged to be the most beautiful cave in Vietnam. What makes it so remarkable is the thousands of underground passages and river caves that are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Charter a boat and explore it for yourself, although it's worth noting that the cave may be closed during November and December due to flooding.

If relaxation is more your thing then you're sure to want to visit a beach. In Vietnam you can spend your whole honeymoon on the beach. In fact, once you begin to research possible locations you will find that you are spoilt for choice. With seemingly infinite stretches of powdery, sandy beaches, impossibly clear lagoons and secret coves, you are sure to find that secluded spot that you've always dreamed of. For the ultimate in relaxation with your better half, visit the island of Phu Quoc, a place that is dotted with perfect white sandy beaches.

Vietnam is a country that really caters for foodies. If your ideal honeymoon is indulging your taste buds and revelling in the cuisine of another culture then you simply can't miss out on a trip to Vietnam. Hoi An is a food lover's dream city; this charming destination has some of the best restaurants in the country.

If all these suggestions sound right up your street then why not combine all three? To make this possible it may be worth looking into hiring a vehicle. Cheap car hire is a great way to get around Vietnam and see parts of the country that are off the beaten track.

Cheap travel, accommodation and living costs mean that you can splash out on the things that make a honeymoon that little bit more romantic and memorable. For example, spend a few nights in a five star hotel or a resort, hire a motorbike and zoom around beachside towns.

Vietnam is still an inexpensive travel destination; however, this does not mean that it doesn't have a huge amount to offer. Whether you want to spend your honeymoon on the beach, or trekking through beautiful countryside, Vietnam really has it all.
